On June 10, the 21st edition of the Argus d’Or Awards honored the key players driving the insurance industry forward with ambition and pragmatism.

Among the finalists in the “Corporate Health / Life Insurance” category, Testamento and UNMI (Union Nationale Mutualiste Interprofessionnelle) were recognized for an innovation focused on a too-often underestimated issue: the designation of beneficiaries in group life insurance.

Innovating together to secure beneficiary designations

Since July 2024, the two partners have rolled out a comprehensive digital solution enabling companies and their employees to designate their beneficiaries through a simple, secure, and fully digital process. The objective: to effectively fight against dormant group and individual insurance contracts by facilitating clause updates and ensuring traceability.

In practice, this innovation improves data reliability, prevents post-mortem disputes, and delivers real added value to companies during tender processes by simplifying the management of life insurance. It also directly addresses policyholders’ growing expectations for transparency, personalization, and legal security.

A collaboration built on trust and commitment

This nomination is the result of a close collaboration between Testamento and UNMI teams, including Loredana Maïer and Anthony Delvigne. Their dedication led to the development of a solution that is compliant, operational, and user-focused—within a regulatory-heavy and fast-digitizing industry.

An industry full of momentum

The awards night also showcased other inspiring initiatives, such as Allianz’s campaign “The Other Side of the Medal,” praised by the jury, and AG2R La Mondiale’s win in the same category. With 129 applications reviewed by the jury, this edition highlighted the dynamism of the insurance industry and its ability to innovate on technical yet critical topics.

This finalist recognition affirms a core belief held by Testamento: innovation in life insurance lies in better management of the beneficiary clause. It is no longer merely a matter of compliance, it is a real performance lever for insurers, companies, and their employees.
